Here are a couple cocktail creations i made for a contest. i was given a box of ingredients & had to use 5 items from the box for each drink. This is what I came up with:
I am definitely not a mixologist, however, after making these drinks, getting the response that I did & trying them for myself, I must say it sparked a new curiosity to start experimenting with my own cocktail creations!🍸
The second my sister tried the Bourbon Hibiscus Sour, her words were, “Wow! I can see this being a $20 cocktail at a high-end restaurant!”
Both the Bourbon Hibiscus Sour & the Hot Pink Martini are a well-balanced mix of strong but sweet.🍬 Which is just how I like my cocktails to taste!
Makeup look inspired by Danielle Marcan.

I had the idea to make a New York sour-inspired cocktail, knowing that the layers were going to be orange/yellow with different variations of red. When I saw this makeup look by Danielle Marcan, I thought it would be a perfect match for the cocktail I wanted to make! I love how it turned out!
NOW LET’S GET INTO THE RECIPE!
Cocktail#1: Bourbon Hibiscus Sour

Bourbon Hibiscus Sour
Equipment
- Cocktail Bar Shaker Set
- Lemon Squeezer
- Rocks Glass
Ingredients
- 2 oz Bullet Bourbon
- 1.5 oz Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
- 1 oz Lime Juice
- 1 oz Egg Whites
- 3/4 oz Hibiscus Syrup
- 1 oz Dry Red Wine (of your choice) I used Merlot for this recipe because it was the only red wine I had in my house, but if I were to make it again, I would use a more full-bodied red wine
- 1 Maraschino Cherry – garnish
- 1 Orange Wheel – garnish (in the photos is a dried mango because that was one of the ingredients I had to use for the contest but I prefer an orange slice over the rim)
Instructions
- Pour the bourbon, orange juice, lime juice, & egg whites into the cocktail shaker & shake with ice
- Double strain over ice in a rocks glass
- Pour hibiscus syrup in the middle of the glass so it goes to the bottom of the glass
- Pour red wine over the back end of a spoon over top the cocktail so it floats at the top
- Garnish with a cherry &/or orange slice
